Thanks for the question.
I still keep 0.2.x in Debian and suggest that other distributors
behave similar. The next releases in the 0.3 branch will probably
break further compatibility to 0.2 versions and also compatibility to
0.3.0. If you create a package for 0.3.0 now, you'll have to handle
this. At least in Debian you have to ensure save upgrades. If your
distribution doesn't require that you care for save upgrades then it
might be worth to create a 0.3.0 package.
Remember that 0.3.0 removed several functions that 0.2.x had and
hardly adds new functions.
For people who already use masqmail-0.2, it seems to be best to stay
with it for the near future. For new users, masqmail-0.3 is the better
choice. (It's much easier to set up and is better documented.)
